Hello
I tried to update my kicksecure templates including whonix 18 and I get error of something like: release file for https… blablabla/trixie-fasttrack/InRelease is expired (invalid since 8h … blablabla) Updates for this repository will not be applied
Ok, but before I proceed, can you confirm that this is the way to go even if the debian templates(that are NOT morphed to kicksecure) are updating without any issue?
Also, do I need to perform this even for the whonix template?
Just making sure so I don’t break things or anything
Unrelated to distribution morphing.
Unrelated to distributions such as Kicksecure vs Whonix etc.
It’s a general Debian fasttrack issue.
OK thank you.
But I find it a bit mysterious that the morphed version has issues with fasttrack and the same base template(exactly the same, clean debian 13 template that was used for morphed kicksecure template) updates without any issues. Isn’t it strange?
One has fasttrack enabled, the other has not?
Clock differences?
Morphing a template from Debian to Kicksecure will add the fasttrack repo. Debian doesn’t come with fasttrack enabled by default, Kicksecure turns it on. That works fine when fasttrack is maintained, but it seems upstream isn’t maintaining it as well as would be hoped…
