Bug: Calamares installer, uncheck disk encryption can't press next

Hi

When installing Kicksecure, if you select to erase disk and unselect encryption the two password box but encrypt is still selected.
If you press the tick mark again, the tick mark disappears, but you can’t press next, the button isn’t made clickable.

See more here:

Doing manual disk partitioning is the only way I have found to get past without disk encryption.

This is happening for both a Hyper-V, VirtualBox and Physical PC installation.

This is unfortunately a known bug, we fixed it in upstream Calamares but were unable to get the fixed version of Calamares into Debian’s bookworm-backports repository (and thus into Kicksecure). You can work around it by editing /etc/calamares/modules/partition.conf and setting preCheckEncryption to false. Then run the installer.

Once Kicksecure is ported to Debian Trixie, this should no longer be an issue.

Hi

Thank you for the answer.
Have tried to look for existing info, but couldn’t find it.
