Can I use sudo in daily use

user-sysmaint-split: multiple boot modes for better security Kicksecure increases safety by enforcing use of separate accounts for daily use and administrative tasks. This is called user-sysmaint-split. It prevents daily used, high-risk software with large attack surface that can be hacked such as a web browser from gaining full administrative (“root”) access. Therefore, otherwise trivial deployment of rootkits and firmware trojans (a type of malware / hardware backdoor) is prevented.

Everything im doing is the normal way, go into main system to check/update. However, does that mean I cant install things from the daily use instance?

Installations that require sudo cannot be performed in a sysmaint session.

Installation or executables in the user home folder are still possible until we implement home folder noexec.
