Distro-morphing without installing package

Hi,

I would like to manually do the Kicksecure system modifications.

On the wiki I was only able to find instructions for downloading the pre-modified Kicksecure disc image, or installing a Kicksecure package using apt from within Debian.

Can you help with my goal?

I had a goal to:

  1. Install ks iso
  2. Install to usb
  3. Locate most-similar deb iso
  4. Install to usb#2
  5. Boot any other os
  6. $ diff /mnt/ks /mnt/deb
  7. Take notes

Idk if that is helpful but that’s where I was personally going to start just for learning. GL!

It’s thousands of files and over 100,000 lines of source code (excluding unrelated files such as licensing texts).

So no, even as the project founder, this is not feasible. Theoretically possible? Yes. A good use of time? No.

Therefore, this is unsupported.
