Is anonbox no longer relevant and not in the repository?

When I try to install anonbox following the instructions from the wiki on a clean whonix machine, it says it’s not in the repository.

Unable to locate package anbox
zsh: exit 100 sudo apt install --no-install-recommends linux-image-amd64 linux-headers-amd6

Also the documentation says to install anonbox version 2018, is this project abandoned and no longer recommended?

I was planning to repeat the above instructions

Anbox is no longer maintained, as shown on Anbox · GitHub. It does appear to be absent from the repositories of Debian 12 and 13 (which the existing Kicksecure 17 and future Kicksecure 18 are based on, respectively).

Kicksecure 18 will use Wayland, which means it will most likely work with Waydroid. In the mean time, it may be possible to get Waydroid to work on Kicksecure 17 by using a windowed Wayland compositor such as Weston, however this is undocumented and last time I did it, it was very tricky to get working.
