No Drivers for Intel Alder Lake-P PCH CNVi WiFi in Kicksecure Template

I am using Kicksecure 17 as a template for sys-net in Qubes OS on multiple laptops.

One of the laptops has an Intel Alder Lake-P PCH CNVi WiFi adapter, but the iwlwifi drivers do not recognize this WiFi hardware.

I’ve researched this issue on other Linux distributions, and the common solution is to install the backport-iwlwifi-dkms package. However, this package is not available in the repositories currently configured in the Kicksecure template.

Can anyone suggest how to resolve this issue?

Although this response in another post is really discouraging, so I am not sure if I’ll receive any help here or not.

Might not be in Debian:

Manual installation might be possible.

Can you make it work on Debian?

As per:

You might be able to install a Linux kernel from bookworm-backports to get the card working.

I tried that, but it didn’t resolve the issue.

The card works fine on Fedora, Arch Linux, Ubuntu, and Mint, but not on Debian or Debian-based Kicksecure. Ubuntu has the package, but I have no idea how to manually install it on Debian.

Sorry, I didn’t upgrade the wifi firmware after installing the linux kernel from bookworm-backports. Now that I’ve upgraded the firmware, the card is working fine.

Thanks a lot.
