Passwd don't work anymore after the latest kicksecure update

Changing passwd with the command ‘passwd’ as user doesn’t work after updating to the latest Kicksecure. Maybe because of the permission hardening? Not sure. I didn’t look into it yet. Not here for help. Reporting the issue.
