‘Search’ function on buttons (‘tags’, ‘Support’, ’Website’, etc) doesn’t work for me. Even when putting an actual word from a topic title, like ‘mouse’ in Support page, doesn’t work. Any word I write result in: ‘No matches found’
I’m running a plain KS18.0.8.7 on an external USB 500 GB SSD.
Temporary solution from Kicksecure Forums Usage Instructions, Best Practices and FAQ Insert the forum web page in a regular web search engine, example:
‘site:forums.kicksecure.com mouse’
I’m not entirely sure what you’re trying to do. Are you trying to search the forums or the wiki? The sites are different and have separate search buttons.
There is no Kicksecure wiki page with the word “mouse” in the title to my awareness. There is a page in Kicksecure’s wiki containing the word “Keyboard”:
Searching for the word “keyboard” on the wiki site finds that page without issues.

On the forum main page ‘forums.kicksecure.com’ , at the top, there are two ~buttons ‘categories’ and ‘tags’. Clicking anyone of these brings a menu in a box with the first item being the possibility to search the entire forum (on the main page) or the specific category (on its page).
Whatever word I write in the search field, it doesn’t work (for me). I get: ‘No matches found’. I’m using the latest version of Firefox 140.7.0 with Ublock Origin, Privacy Badger, No Script, Ghostery, AdGuard ad blocker, AdBlocker for youtube. I checked and none has blocked anything from the kicksecure forum, so I’m at lost to find the reason the search possibilities doesn’t work.
Oh, I see what you’re talking about now. Those search boxes are for searching the lists of categories and tags themselves. For instance, click “categories”, and then search for “KVM”. You’ll see all categories filtered out except for the “KVM” category.
If you want to search the forum as a whole, click the search button in the upper-right corner of the page, right next to your profile icon.
